William Matheny graduated from McGavock High School in Nashville, where he took full advantage of the HVAC courses. After school, he started as an entry-level service technician at an established Middle Tennessee company and soon moved up to senior technician.
William studied for his state gas mechanical test and became a licensed contractor — CMC-C, CMC-A #66577.

William's wife Branden created the bee logo and the business name — Busy Bee was a family idea from the start.
